Fishing along the coast has been action-packed this week as schools of false albacore have moved into the area, feeding aggressively on tiny glass minnows. The bite has been extremely visual, with fish blasting bait on the surface and providing fast-paced action that will have light tackle reels screaming. Along the beaches, tarpon continue their annual migration, offering anglers opportunities to intercept rolling fish during the early morning and late afternoon hours. Inshore, snook fishing remains strong, and with the upcoming full moon approaching, many anglers are gearing up for the start of the summer spawn. Expect the snook bite to continue improving as fish stage around inlets, and other spawning areas over the coming weeks.
