The summer bite is firing on all cylinders along the Central Florida coast. Schools of albies (bonita) have moved into the area, terrorizing glass minnows and providing some of the most exciting light-tackle action of the year. These fish are fast, aggressive, and will have your drag screaming in seconds. Along the beaches, tarpon continue their annual migration south, with pods of fish showing well on calm mornings and offering anglers plenty of opportunities to sight-cast. Inshore, snook are staging up ahead of the upcoming spawn, and the early morning bite has been especially productive around moving water. With calm seas and plenty of bait around, now is a great time to get on the water and take advantage of some outstanding summer fishing.
